Reminder of Rushville Recess Policy: We believe exercise and fresh air are an important part of each child’s day. However, if the wind chill, according to www.weather.com for Rushville, MO, “feels like” 19 degrees or below, there will be no outdoor recess. If the wind chill or temperature is 20-24 degrees students will have a 15 minute recess. Students should always dress for outside recess including hats, gloves, scarves, and boots. If temperature permits students will be allowed to go outside in the snow. Please send extra socks in case their feet get wet. Thank you!!!

It has been another busy semester in the middle school science room. For the 7th graders, the semester wrapped up with a unit on chemical reactions. After mastering baking soda and vinegar, we demonstrated synthesis and decomposition reactions. In early December, the 8th graders took a trip to Benedictine College and took part in a Gen Bio 1 lab. They may have even taught the college students a thing or two! I'm looking forward to seeing continued growth from these students in the 2nd semester!

As we embark on the final semester of our senior's high school career, we want to take time to recognize and give a big shout out to each and every one of them. This week we congratulate Hayden Black. Way to go Hayden!
