Third Grade Fieldtrip to the Kansas City Zoo!!!
The Tiger track team finished out a great season today at the Class 1 State Championships! The following athletes earned their way to an all-state finish:
Kirstian Goddard: 4th place 100m dash
Girls’ 4x2 (Carissa Martin, Averyl Crouse, Ashtyn Griffin, Kirstian Goddard): 7th place
Girls’ 4x1 (Martin, Liz Generaux, Griffin, Goddard): 2nd place
It was a great day to be a tiger!
The track team is headed to Jefferson City for the Class 1 State Championships this weekend! The following athletes qualified last Saturday at the Class 1 Sectional 4 meet:
Carissa Martin: 4th place triple jump
Kirstian Goddard: 1st place 100m dash
Darrin McElfresh: 2nd place long jump & triple jump
Girls’ 4x2 relay (Carissa Martin, Averyl Crouse, Ashtyn Griffin, Kirstian Goddard): 2nd place
Girls’ 4x1 relay (Martin, Liz Generaux, Griffin, Goddard): 1st place
7th graders are learning how to code during this last week. Lathan & Mason are learning how to code a banana to be used as a piano keyboard!
Congratulations to Hayden Generaux for being named Class 1 District 16 1st Team All-District!!!
The Spring Activities Banquet will be held Monday, May 20th at 6pm. Dinner will be provided by the Tiger Booster Club. Please consider a free-will donation to help support our students.

The 2nd grade had a fun, learning experience on their field trip to Mt. Gilead , a one-room schoolhouse in Kearney, MO. While here, they went back in time to 1889 and did penmanship, arithmetic, geography, read from the old McGuffy readers, had a spelling bee, shared recitations,and even played some games!
Thank you to the DeKalb Booster Club for providing pizza for the band before the spring concert last night. They go above and beyond to support all student activities.

Baseball Game for tonight against Northeast Nodaway has been cancelled due to field conditions. There is no make-up date. Tiger Baseball back in action Friday in district play against King City at 5:15.
Due to pending weather today’s baseball game against West Nodaway will start at 4pm. Senior night will still be at 6 pending weather.
Due to possible weather the rest of the week and districts. Track and Baseball senior night will be after the baseball game tomorrow night. The baseball game will start at 4:30 with Varsity only against West Nodaway. Seniors and parents please be at baseball field by 6 pm.
