Last night DeKalb had three runners participate in the race held by North Platte, in Camden Point. There were 49 total participants in the varsity boys section. Wyatt Taylor finished 28th, Tucker Estes 38th, and DJ Johnson 41st. Keep working hard gentlemen!
The third graders did a Book Tasting on the books they will be studying in our ELA curriculum. They did an awesome job noticing, wondering, and predicting what they thought they would learn from the books. They will start diving into these books next week.




Jostens will be here Friday morning, September 4th, before school to take Junior Class Ring orders. Please make sure to send the required $60 deposit along with the order.

Mrs. Marissa/Minnis is counting down the days until school starts and I can see my Kindergarten kiddos again and meet some new smiling faces. 😍




High School Softball Jamboree at 5 pm @ DeKalb High School. Everyone is welcomed and pre-packaged food only at the concession stand.
Ms. Reddick’s 2nd grade worked with creating 10 bonds, practicing procedures, developing family relationships, writing an “All About Me” book, setting an arching long-term goal for the year, and ending our first great day on a sweet note!
