Senior Spotlight
Kylie Gardner
Senior year can be very stressful, but it does come with perks. Seniors have college to look forward to and trying to get their dream job they’ve been working and striving toward the whole year. But it can be saddening to leave the school that you’ve become so familiar with. Throughout her four years at DeKalb High School, Kylie has been in FBLA and STUCO. She shares some of her memories from high school.
Q: Do you have a nickname?
A: Kyle. Brennan started calling me that from South park and now everyone calls me that, even my family.
Q: Who has been your favorite teacher?
A: I like all of them a lot. If I had to pick an absolute favorite, I’d pick Mr. Jenkins, because he’s hilarious.
Q: Who are you most often seen with?
A: Probably Cameron, Averyl, Jessicaa, and Alyssa, but I’m friends with everyone.
Q: What is your favorite high school memory?
A: The solar eclipse was pretty cool
Q: What are your future plans?
A: I want to be a nurse. I want to have a family of two kids and change the health care policy so people can get health care they deserve.
Q: What will you miss the most about high school?
A: I’m going to miss having people I know to turn to. Out in the real world, you’re not going to know as many people.
