On November 2 senior softball player Morgan Parsons signed with Southeast Community College to play softball.
Southeast Community College is located in Beatrice, Neb. Parsons received a full ride scholarship to SCC. She will be starting softball practices with SCC in August. SCC will have softball games year-round.
Playing softball in college has been a goal of Parsons for a long time.
“I’m super pumped,” Parsons said. “I’ve worked my whole life for this and now it’s paying off.”
Parsons will have to face many changes from playing softball in high school to playing in college.
“One change for her will be longer practices and more time in the weight room,” Aaron Matthews, high school softball coach, said. “It’s different when you play college ball.”
Parsons said that she’s nervous about what position she will play.
